Casino Night Theme: Decorations

Outside the House

  1. Entrance & Curb Appeal
  • Red Carpet Walkway: Use a long red carpet runner from the driveway or sidewalk to the front door. Flank it with gold stanchions and rope or up-lighting for a grand entrance.
  • Marquee Sign: Create a faux “CASINO NIGHT” marquee sign or lighted letters to place near the entrance or above your door.
  • Spotlights or Uplighting: Use red and green spotlights to wash the exterior walls, porch, or trees with casino colors.
  • Card Suits Yard Stakes: Oversized heart, diamond, club, and spade cutouts on stakes leading up to the door.
  • Custom Casino Entrance Arch: Build or rent an archway styled like the entrance to a casino, perhaps labeled “Lucky Havill’s Casino” or your party name.

Inside the House

  1. Main Casino Area
  • Casino Tables: Rent or DIY blackjack, roulette, and poker tables. Cover dining tables with black or green felt and add custom layouts.
  • Dealer Accessories: Use real chips, playing cards, dealer visors, and shoe decks for authenticity.
  • Table Centerpieces:
    • Martini glasses filled with red dice or poker chips
    • Tall vases with playing cards spiraling inside
    • Mini top hats with feathers and glitter for a glam touch
  • Chandeliers or Hanging Decor: Suspend large paper dice, card suits, or gold stars from the ceiling.
  1. Themed Zones
  • Slot Machine Photo Booth: Create a backdrop that looks like a giant slot machine or Las Vegas sign for guest photos.
  • High Roller Lounge: Set up a velvet-rope VIP lounge area with plush seating, dim lighting, and a signature cocktail station.
  • Money Wall or Cash Grab Booth: Create a wall of faux hundred-dollar bills, or if you’re going all out, a fan-blown “money booth” for prizes.
  1. Lighting & Ambience
  • LED Lighting: Use color-changing lights or LED strips around tables, doorways, and bar areas.
  • Candles & Glam Lighting: Use gold or black candleholders with red candles for a moody, high-stakes feel.
  • Projection: Project card suits or a digital roulette wheel on a wall using a projector or light gobo.
  1. Themed Decor Touches
  • Card Suit Confetti: Scatter red and black spade/heart confetti across surfaces.
  • Playing Card Garlands: String cards together and hang them across mantels, stair railings, or doorways.
  • Mirrored Accents: Use mirrored trays, coasters, and surfaces to reflect light and give a luxe Vegas vibe.
  • Dice Decor: Stack large foam dice around rooms or use them as risers for food and drinks.
