OUTSIDE DECORATIONS

  1. Rocket Ship Entryway

  • Add “NASA”-style or custom mission signage like: Mission Control HQ: Party Base Alpha.
  1. Planet Pathway
  • Line the walkway with planets on stakes or glow-in-the-dark planet cutouts.
  • Add signs like “Mars This Way →” or “Caution: Asteroid Field Ahead!”
  1. Inflatable Aliens or Astronauts
  • Place inflatable space figures on the lawn or porch for an eye-catching display.
  1. Starry Sky Canopy
  • Hang string lights or fairy lights above the porch or in trees to mimic stars.
  • Use dark navy or black fabric draped like a tent to create a “galaxy dome.”
  1. Lawn Games Turned Spacey
  • Paint cornhole boards like UFOs or planets.
  • Use glow-in-the-dark rings for a “Saturn ring toss.”

INSIDE DECORATIONS

  1. Galaxy Ceiling & Walls
  • Hang dark tablecloths, sheets, or space-themed backdrops with stars, planets, and galaxies.
  • Use LED star projectors or black lights to create an immersive glow.
  1. DIY Hanging Planets
  • Make paper mache or foam ball planets and suspend them from the ceiling using fishing line.
  • Label them with names like “Jupiter,” “Venus,” or funny made-up alien worlds.
  1. Space Control Panel
  • Create a cardboard “mission control” station with buttons, levers, and printed control panels. Add walkie-talkies or “intercoms.”
  1. Alien Zone or Moon Crater Photo Booth
  • Set up a backdrop with craters or alien landscapes and provide astronaut helmets, alien glasses, and ray guns for props.
  1. Floating Astronauts
  • Print out or cut astronaut shapes and suspend them like they’re floating in zero gravity.
  1. Galactic Tablescape
  • Use starry or holographic tablecloths and sprinkle glow stars or confetti.
  • Name each table after a planet or space station.
